COVID-19 Community Outreach and Education
Nearly three million Minnesotans have been vaccinated, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. An essential intervention to minimizing the effects of COVID-19 is community outreach and education to increase testing as well as reverse the vaccine hesitancy.
Kulan Center has conducted a series of community outreach and education sessions to identify what barriers and facilitators drive the rate of COVID-19 vaccination. Some of the barriers include transportation or the existence of widespread misinformation about the vaccine and myths people believe about its effects. EACC continues to engage and empower members of communities disproportionately impacted by the spread of the virus by providing resources and accurate and reliable information.
